Certifications

Certification programs are powerful; they enable organizations to confirm that critical training knowledge is absorbed, retained and demonstrated by their employees.

The certification process often takes elements from various prior training initiatives and condenses them into a single, comprehensive platform. As such, the certification author should:

  • understand the key principles of prior training that represent must-have core knowledge

  • review and confirm this essential core knowledge with stakeholders

  • realize that it is often necessary for a certification to "leave some things out"

  • adhere to business-timing considerations

  • factor logistics and employee availability into the certification's execution plan
